Take Action

Call your U.S. Congressman to tell him that you want action to stop foreclosures now.  Bear Stearns, the real estate industry and banks have lobbyists to support their interests.  Unless you speak out, homeowners in crisis will be left out.  To Contact Your Member of Congress, visit http://www.congress.org/

Tell your member of Congress that you want the bankruptcy laws changed to permit homeowners to modify Adjustable Rate Mortgages.

KFC, Walgreen's to grow minority opportunities

June 14, 2010 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Business leaders from around the country are focusing on diversity and inclusion during day three of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition's 39th Annual Conference.

Monday's events took place at the Hyatt McCormick Place West. The Reverend Jesse Jackson says his organization continues to work to close disparities and create jobs and opportunities in underserved communities.

At a news conference, fast food giant KFC announced a plan to grow the number of minority-owned franchisees, suppliers and employees.

A similar deal with Walgreen's was announced during an afternoon luncheon.
