Take Action
Genarlow Wilson has been incarcerated
for more than two years for having consensual sex when he was 17
with an under-aged girl. Since his conviction on charges of
aggravated child molestation, the General Assembly changed the law
to reduce the conduct he engaged in from a felony to a misdemeanor.
Yet, the Georgia Attorney General insists on appealing the decision
of a Monroe County Superior Court Judge to free Wilson, calling his
punishment unconstitutional, cruel and unusual.
