Annual
Creating
Opportunity
Conference
in
Atlanta,
October
15-16
at
the
Hyatt
Regency
in
Atlanta,
265
Peachtree
Street.
The
purpose
of
the
conference
is
to
revive
hope
for
those
devastated
by
job
and
home
loss,
recover
from
the
economic
calamity
with
new
investments
in
industry
and
infrastructure,
and
renew
efforts
to
create
a
level
playing
field
for
workers
and
children.
Lenders
will
be
on-site
at
the
conference
to
offer
alternatives
to
foreclosure.
Rainbow
PUSH
successfully
urged
Citi
Mortgage
and
Wells
Fargo
to
withdraw
hundreds
of
homes
from
the
September
Sheriff’s
sale.
Without
Rainbow
PUSH
intervention,
those
homes
would
have
gone
into
foreclosure.
Those
families
are
urged
to
come
to
the
conference
to
meet
face
to
face
with
lenders
and
mortgage
counselors.
Now,
the
task
is
to
find
longer-term
solutions.
